Successful beta test for the ForDiL app in the Czech Republic
A test session under real-world conditions
On 22 October 2025, a beta test of the ForDiL application took place at the Pokojna marteloscope site in the Czech Republic. The event brought together 27 forestry experts from a wide range of backgrounds: managers of state, public and private forests, as well as representatives of the National Forest Service and the State Forest Administration.
High-level testers
Participants were invited to try out the application in real conditions, exploring its educational and professional features developed within the project.
At the end of the session, each tester completed an evaluation questionnaire. The Czech team translated and summarised all responses, providing valuable insight to further refine the app’s ergonomics and functionality. These expert assessments will help deliver an even more intuitive and efficient version before it becomes freely available for download.
Promising results
Initial feedback is highly encouraging: testers praised the app’s educational value and its relevance for forestry training and management. The application appears to meet the expectations of field professionals while supporting the transfer of forestry knowledge.
The countdown has begun
This beta test represents a key milestone in validating the tool before its wider rollout. Additional tests are currently underway in Belgium and France to fine-tune the final adjustments.
The official release is approaching: the ForDiL team is working hard to deliver a free, practical and accessible tool for all.
Stay tuned so you don’t miss anything!
