The ForDiL App
A free, downloadable application to experiment with Continuous Cover Forestry approach independently

When the field meets the digital world
The ForDiL application is based on real-life tools: marteloscopes and travailloscopes. These training plots, combined with the app, become true forest workshops for practising interventions in Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF) approach.
Designed as a pocket trainer, the application supports learners – whether beginners or experienced – throughout their training, fostering autonomous, progressive, and interactive learning.
Each project partner has developed their own marteloscope/travailloscope site within their national territory. The pedagogical and collaborative dimension lies at the heart of the initiative: students and teachers from partner institutions contributed to the development of the app and enriched the project through their European exchanges around CCF approach.
The ForDiL application is entering its final development phase. It has been tested in real-life conditions, directly in the field, by both beginner and experienced forest managers. Their valuable practical feedback is currently being integrated to deliver an application that is reliable, intuitive and truly useful on site.
